Facts: The Defendant was charged after being stopped by a deputy for weaving on a gravel, snowy, rural road in Dakota County. Based on photographs and testimony of the Defendant and his passenger, the judge ruled that the sheriff’s deputies had no right to stop the Defendant and all charges were dismissed in the Defendant’s favor.

Facts: The Defendant was charged with trying to kill her husband by poisoning him with his medication. After a thorough investigation, it was shown that the Defendant when speaking with a co-worker was exaggerating when she indicated she wanted her husband killed. This was shown through medical records, as well as polygraph results. In addition, her husband testified and the case was dismissed against the Defendant. As a result of the dismissal, a hearing was held in front of the Nursing Board in which she regained her nursing privileges.
