Biography: Ryan is a third-generation attorney. His late grandfather, father, uncle and aunt practice law in the State of Minnesota. Ryan grew up in Burnsville, MN located in Dakota County. Following his father around in court from a young age, Ryan knew he would follow in the footsteps of his family tradition and become an attorney.
During law school, Ryan clerked for the Honorable Judge Janet Cain in Carver County, MN. Working one-on-one with a judge early in his career was a great way to learn the system from a judge’s point of view. After that, Ryan spent two and a half years as a certified student-attorney with the First Judicial Public Defender’s Office in Hastings, MN. Ryan has represented hundreds of clients ranging from small misdemeanors to Murder cases. In fact, former MN attorney of the year Lauri Traub selected Ryan to assist her in a Murder case in Steel County. Through hard work and vigorous defense, Ryan helped suppress the client’s statement to law enforcement, resulting in a tremendous outcome for the client.
